My 8-week baby has reflux as well as we have been endorsed to slip his crib. we have attempted this though a baby only slides down towards a feet of a crib. How can we stop this?

Have you tried just buying one of those wedges in the sheet section of your local baby store, toys r us. they go underneath the sheet in the crib the crib doesn’t get moved at all. plus make like a moat around your baby. roll up some blankets like a box/circle shape place the sheet over it and place the baby inside it that should keep him/her in place where they don’t slide down. the wedge is used to prop up baby! good luck hope this helps.
here’s one w/ a harness:http://www.babyreflux.co.uk/products/bab…
What about those pads you put in the crib? They are on an incline and have a pillow and sides that are soft and help hold baby still. My sister’s baby has reflux and this works for him. (He is 7 weeks) I don’t know how you would incline the crib…
Put a pillow underneath the head of the crib mattress.
Flannel sheets and fleece or flannel jammies. Remember flannel boards? Your baby will stick like the little felt Bible characters used to stick to the flannel. Seriously. Don’t use fabric softener or dryer sheets.
You could also sew some sort of gripping material to his jammies. Kind of like making a velcro wall crib.
You can buy foam wedges at the baby store. You can also put your child in the carseat (on the floor obviously) or strapped into his swing. My nephew’s pediatrician recommended the swing/carseat (since it’s more of an incline than the crib can ever be) and he immediately started sleeping through the night and eating better.
Put a phone book under the head of the matress, that should be high enough. Put towels rolled up on either side of baby. That should keep baby in place. Good luck. Mine projectile for 9 months. He was allergic to dairy proteins.
he should already be at the foot of the crib, by the way; the main SIDS advice = feet to foot.
Get a bassinet that you can strap the baby in and incline the head part. At 8 weeks, you will have lots of time to use the bassinet. And its much more convenient because you can keep it near you/your bed.
My aunt used to put a book under the mattress when my cousin used to spit up a lot.
My son had reflux and we were told to put a blanket under his mattress to angle it. It wasn’t at such an angle that he would slip down but you could always roll up a blanket like a snake, form it into a “U” shape and put his rear end in the curved part with his legs hanging over the blanket. That way the blanket will keep him from slipping. The nurses did that to all the babies when both my kids were in NICU to keep them secure but also to keep the ones whose incubator mattresses were elevated from slipping.
They make wedges that you put under the baby. It comes in several different angles. At the lowest part of the wedge is another support for the baby’s bottom, so they won’t slip as much.
My daughter had bad reflux when she was a few weeks old. I would have her sleep in her car seat without the straps
I don’t think that inclining the crib would be the safest choice. There are products available such as foam pads that are already shaped for this, try looking at babies r us or amazon.com
